Traffic Box Wrap
@ Johnson City, Tennessee

I’m honored to share that my artwork, Reaching for the Light, was selected to be part of the Johnson City Traffic Box Wrap Program in Tennessee. This public art initiative transforms ordinary traffic signal boxes into vibrant works of art that reflect the spirit, identity, and creative energy of the community.

Originally painted as part of my Divine Feminine series, Reaching for the Light is a visual metaphor for resilience, healing, and the human desire for growth—even in the face of adversity. The central figure reaches upward from a dreamlike, inner world, surrounded by botanical elements and starry skies, symbolizing connection to both the earth and the cosmos.

For this installation, I adapted the original painting into a digitally wrapped format, carefully redesigning the composition to flow across the full surface of the utility box. I wanted the piece to feel immersive from every angle—so that drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians can discover new details as they pass by.

The work is scheduled to be installed in Johnson City, Tennessee, as part of the city’s ongoing efforts to enliven public spaces and make art accessible outside the walls of museums and galleries. I’m excited to contribute to a project that brings creativity into everyday spaces and honors the power of beauty in unexpected places.
