Woodcut relief is a printmaking technique where an image is carved into the surface of a wooden block, with the raised areas representing the design. Ink is applied to these raised areas and then transferred to paper or fabric, creating the print.

The image for this woodcut carving comes from on of my sketchbooks, a pen and ink drawing in a moleskin journal. I love the look and sound of old gramophones, and so it is unsurprising that they made their way into my sketchbook.
