What subconsciously comes to the surface while experimenting with these techniques and processes is a surprise and a delight. I find that I have a lot to say and express about my experience as a woman and how society treats, reacts to, and tries to control women and their narratives. As an artist, I have dedicated my practice to exploring the intricate nuances of the feminine experience, delving into its multifaceted nature, where frustrations and triumphs intertwine and diversity flourishes. My work is an ode to the struggles and the victories of women across all walks of life. It is a testament to the power and resilience that we inherently possess, a celebration of our diversity, and a call to embrace the full spectrum of the feminine experience.

Monotype

A unique print, typically painterly in effect, made by applying paint or printing ink to a flat sheet of metal, glass, or plexiglass. The image is transferred to paper either by manually rubbing or using a press.

Relief

For this method, an original image or drawing is transferred onto linoleum or wood blocks, and the negative space of the images is carved away until just the raised lines are all that remains. The block is inked and pressed into paper.

Intaglio

Intaglio is similar to relief, but instead of carving away the lines of an image are gouged into a surface, such as plexiglass or copper or nicle sheets. Ink must be pressed into the gouged crevices, and a press is used to press the paper into those gouges and pull up the ink to create the final print.

Cyanotype

Cyanotype is a simple photographic process, using a light-sensitive solution that is coated on a paper and exposed under UV light. Objects or photos on transparencies are placed between the paper and the UV light. The blocked areas remain white, and the exposed areas darken to shades of blue.
